Pete’s Polka Ride. A-one, an’a Two! Saturday August 8th, 2026.

Who’s ready for some Polka music and a bike ride combo?  I purchased every album by the Chardon Polka Band and made a fun-tastic playlist (I’ll also include some classic Lawrence Welk and some other Polka favorites).

Our destination will be Germania Park for their Biergarten Event.  They’ll have some traditional German food and beer (They’ve had Ramstein in the past).  The David Betz Band will be playing.  $10 admission.

Meet me at the Denville Clock Tower at 3:45 with kickstands up at 4:00.   The event closes at 10 but we’ll decide as a group how long we want to stay.

Ride Stats:

Distance is 13 miles round trip.

No drop ride.

Terrain:    Mostly flat with a few climbs to warm up those dancing legs.

Rain cancels ride.

Birdman.

Ride Recap: With the hot humid weather and thunderstorm threats, I wasn’t expecting this ride to happen. I’m glad it did. Cold beers kept us refreshed while chowing down on some Bratwurst and really good Bavarian cake. Thank you Brian for leading us out of there via some nicer roads. Also thanks to all who showed up. Here are some pics.
