Saturday, March 29th — New Moon Exploration

Let’s cruise around Madison and Florham Park plus a few old favorites: Loantaka, Tri-Borough Bridge, Traction Line.

Ride details:

• Distance: About 24 miles
• Meet up: Morristown Green Fountain at 5:30pm with kickstands up at 5:40
  • UPDATE: Moved the start/finish to the Morristown Green Fountain as Park Police weren’t too happy about potentially parking after 8pm.
• Terrain: Lot of cut throughs, marked trails, neighborhoods, views of beautiful buildings, downtown Madison, and quiet roads
• On trail pit stop half way through for refreshments
• Temperature: Mid-high 70s (!!)
• No drop ride

The unexpected cold rain was a minor set back. There was a decent amount of mud, some interesting bushwhacking, tough to find trails, but nothing to deter us. Tri-Borough Bridge was interestingly creepy. We’ll be exploring more areas beyond Morristown and Denville.
