What a bummer about the potential rain cancelling camping. I’m still revving for a ride.

I’ll be exploring the Parsippany area for anybody that wants to join. Starting when there is a lower chance of rain at 11am. Few interesting stop: Troy Meadow, Great Piece Meadow (I’ve wondered about these places every time I’m on Route 80), Lake Hiawatha, and Fairfield.

Route Details

• Distance: About 31 miles (will pull back if rain starts)
• Duration: About 3 hours
• Meet up: IHOP of Parsippany at 1:00pm. Kick stands up at 1:15pm
• Parking: Somewhere in the Home Depot lot. Be inconspicuous.
• Terrain: Two meadows that appear boardwalked (bring binoculars if you like birds), strange residential neighborhoods, utility paths/cut throughs. There will be a good deal of exploration. Expect some mud.
• Map: work in progress on Ride with GPS
• Pit stop half way through for refreshments plus food options toward the end
• Temperature: low 50s
• No drop ride
