Sunday, September 7th

Full moon… clear skies… 72 degrees… summer coming to a close…

When looking at the map, I lost count of the amount of lakes it the area. Let’s ride around Denville, Mountain Lakes, and Parsippany for a Tour of the Lakes™!

We’ll see them all! I have a few routes to choose from—we’ll decide that in person. Leave a comment or a like if you’re joining!

Key info:

  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Weather: High 60s
  • Parking: Municipal Parking Lot or take NJ Transit bus or train

Ride Recap:

We started our journey while the sun was still up and cruised around until the moon made its appearance. The moon shimmered over the 25 lakes we passed, and I couldn’t help but think, “photos don’t do it justice.” Along the way, we spotted a thrilling ropes course that looked like a lot of fun, and we admired a cool train station that added a touch of charm to our ride. There were also places where Peter almost bought a house, each with its own unique character.

As we continued, we encountered a spooky dark street that we all missed, adding a hint of mystery to our adventure. A delicious Złoty beverage, classic Combo snacks, and peanut M&Ms fueled us for 22 miles. Forgetting the speaker led to a quiet, contemplative ride—hopefully not because of the hills!
