May 3, 2012 Werewolf Ride

Lets meet in Denville at the clocktower around 7:30 for a bike jaunt.  It will get dark, bring lights.

Update: 

It was quite rainy all day and I had completed a very tough ride the day before so I was hoping for an easy relaxing wolf ride (a recovery ride, in roadie speak), I was not disappointed. A few wolves showed up despite rain threatening. We took a nice cruise up to Mountain Lakes via Pocono Rd. We headed around the lake, intending to admire the neighborhood. Larry gave us a quick history of the area and the Hapgood homes. Further down the road we came across a Weird NJ stop! A front lawn completely decked out w/ sculptures. They looked beautiful to me and I wanted a closer look but felt strange hanging on the street gawking. Apparently the neighbors hate this display (I don’t find Mountain Lakers a particularly friendly community). We moved along slowly, looped around the lake and headed home. No real rain hit.
