The next adventure ride will be Friday, July 15th. Meet up at the clock tower in Denville at 8pm.
Where do you want to ride to? How about a nice easy loop around some lakes and into Rockaway for food & refreshments?
Fyi – It’s a very buggy time of year so you may want some clear glasses to keep the buggies away from your eyes. An under helmet hat is nice too, it will keep the buggies from bothering you should they enter your helmet vents.
Fun! I hope you can make it.
Update:
A dozen riders met up for the ride, including 6 first time werewolves. After riding up the driveway to St. Francis and waving at some very excited spectators, we looped around Cedar Lake (impossible by car, fun by bike), linking 2 dead ends with a short section of bumpy downhill dirt trail. Back on the road we passed some neighborhood kids and parents milling around having some fun jumping bikes off a small ramp. Someone (accidentally?) hit one of those plastic bike/skateboard ramps that happened to be in the middle of the road, caught a little air and landed safely! Who was that? Good Stuff! After climbing a steep little hill we sped back down and I almost missed calling out a dark, hard to see, right turn. I heard some tires skidding and a lot of confusion. Thankfully everyone stayed safe but the group lost two lifetime werewolf ride members because I did’nt think to wait up. Duh! My bad. I’m really sorry about that! We waited a few while I phoned the now lost riders to make sure they found their way back to civilization. They did. Sorry guys! Upon looping back to Denville it was getting pretty dark and we dropped off two riders without lights, one had a badly wobbly wheel. Even though their ride was cut a little short they seemed to have enjoyed themselves.
We did another short stint part of the way around Indian Lake (NJ Transit tracks could complete an around the lake loop, but the wolves weren’t keen on trespassing on active rr tracks in the dark). We doubled back and rode uphill through nice neighborhoods and into Rockaway. In town on Main Street we were gawked at and offered drinks by some bar patrons enjoying a smoke on the bar porch. We got thirsty. We looped around Fox’s Pond, passing an outdoor movie gathering. Then we headed to Adams Beer Garden for some refreshements. They kindly let us park our bikes on the back deck under a beautiful palm tree (anyone have pics?) The moon came out and bike banter ensued as we emptied a couple of pitchers. A slightly adventurous route brough us back to Denville quickly. Here was our route. Thanks for riding everyone!

I am going to try to take a nap so I can stay awake, where is it going? is it a secret?

Nice route! I have not been on that part of Indian lake in many years. The Island looks cool, anything intersting?
