November 14th, 2020. Bicycle/Beer Ride.

This year will be the 10th year of the Bicycle/Beer Ride.

Let’s meet up at the Denville clock tower at noon and plan on starting at 12:15pm sharp.

Our route will take us through the Rockaway Valley where we might get lucky and see some llamas.  Fayson lakes is also a nice treat with beautiful views of fall foliage reflecting off the Butler reservoir..

The destination will be the High Point Brewery (14 miles one way). We’ll enjoy samples of their seasonal Winter Wheat beer. Brewery opens at 2 and there will be a tour starting at 3pm. (Not sure if there will be a tour due to Covid)

After we sample and then load up with beer (I’m talking about loading up the panniers ;), we’ll cycle back with more beautiful views of the Boonton Reservoirs and Pyramid Mountain.

This will be a casual pace and a no drop ride. I will offer some challenges to anybody who wants a workout.

They do not sell food but in the past there have been food vendors. Also, there is a main street in town where you can most likely find something to munch on.  Maybe bring some snacks to keep you fueled.

This is an open event, so please share it with anybody that might be interested.

Bring lights and let’s ride.

Birdman.

Ride recap: Six of us left the clock tower on this gorgeous 50 degree day. We met Dogman at the 4 corners. Dog suggested taking Boonton ave. It was a nice change. The Boonton Reservoir was a sight to see. It seemed to go on forever. We did take Fayson Lakes Rd for the scenic views of the Butler Reservoir. That made us pretty thirsty for some Winter Wheat. Sipping on cold beer and listening to good tunes by the 2 man band was the reward. Pop and I left early to avoid getting back in the dark. Happy 10th year! Cheers.
