Join me for a 40 mile ride down the Jersey Shore. This ride will start with The Henry Hudson Bike Trail. This will offer us many miles with nice views of the Sandy Hook Bay, ocean, Verrazano Bridge and New York skyline.
Once at Sandy Hook, we’ll cycle the bike path all the way to the end of this peninsula. Bring a camera! If it’s not too cold, bring a bathing suit if you want to go for a quick dip.
On our way back, we’ll stop at Carton Brewery for a pint of their amazing beer. There will also be food options in this area.
Meet up in the parking lot at Oakshades Park located at 30 Gerard Ave, Aberdeen Township, NJ 07747. Parking lot is located at the corner of Gerard Ave and Broadway.
9:45 meet up with kickstands up at 10:00 am sharp. I will be driving to the location with 2 wolves. If anybody else wants to carpool, reach out to me. I plan on leaving Morristown area 8:30.

Ride Recap:
Now that was a fun ride. The path was great except for the many stop signs at road crossings. Thankfully most drivers yielded to us. We were detoured up the hills of the Highlands because the path was having work done. It was a tough battle but well worth it. The views were amazing. The wind picked up a bit at Sandy Hook but it actually felt good since it was as warm as a Summers day. The ride back was much easier since we figured out how to avoid the hills on the path. Carton beer hit the spot. It was a long day and I loved every minute of it. Here are some pics.
