Weird NJ Bike Ride. Devils Tomb Edition. October 15th , 2016

It’s time for another Weird New Jersey adventure.

Our destination will be The Devils Tomb.

We’ll cycle on some of my favorite roads in the area.  Highlights of the route will be:  cycling by numerous farms along the route.  Pretty Ravine Lake.   Jockey Hollow soldiers huts.  Woodsy areas with babbling brooks are also on the agenda.

This ride will start and finish at the Morristown Green fountain.

We will meet up  at 11:45am and leave at Noon sharp.

Ride stats:  No-drop ride will approx. 30 miles.

Terrain:  Hilly to downright mountainous in places.

Even though it’s a no drop ride at a social pace, I suggest you ride  only if you can handle the hilly distance.  There will be many stops and picture opportunities along the way.

After the ride, there are many great food and drink options available.

We had perfect 65 degree weather for our ride.  Four of us ventured out to see the Devils Tomb.  The ride itself was probably more scary than the tomb itself.  It was downright hilly. The pretty back roads and colors of fall made up for it.  I think we should do this ride in all seasons.  Here are some pics.
