November 21, 2010 Werewolf Ride

The 2nd Full Moon Werewolf Adventure Ride will leave from Denville on November 21st.  Meet up at precisely 5pm or thereabouts at the town clock.  The town clock is here .  I’ve got a pretty neat route planned.  We will ride roughly 10 miles, there will be a couple of hills but none are very steep or strenuous.  No drops, social pace.  Light offroading for about 1 mile, where riders using skinny/hard race tires may have to walk a few paces in 1 or 2 places.  Snacks & drinks at my place on Diamond Spring after?

Update:  8 riders met up at the town clock to ride this route.  About a mile of riding from busy downtown Denville (The Hub of Morris County) brought us to roads that are surprisingly quiet & scenic.  After a few miles the road dead ends but the path through the woods is pretty easy going.  The moon was obscured by some clouds & the hillside but we caught glimpses of it here and there.
Back on pavement, the big hill spread us out into two smaller groups for a good while but we waited up for each other.  It was really cool to look over my shoulder and see bicycle headlights, all modern led’s with a blue tint, cruising down the road in a nice tight formation.  Its reassuring to know that I’m not the only person who enjoys a chilly, hilly night ride!  We ended the ride with some refreshments & snacks.  Fun!   Thanks for coming!
